The global shortage of cyber security professionals causes businesses and governments to struggle to protect their systems and information against a rapidly increasing cyber threat. At the same time, cyberattacks are becoming more sophisticated with conventional perimeter defences proving to be insufficient
The Cyber Threat Defender is deployed on web servers to prevent web-based cyber-attacks from reaching critical web applications or the underlying data layer. Developed for the UK Ministry of Defence, the Defender provides a stealth approach to responding to dangerous attacks. The attacker is unaware they have been detected, whilst the payload is prevented from reaching its target. Web-based attacks, including SQL injection and cross-site scripting, are defused by the Defender through a patented machine learning classification approach and execution of a cyber-attack risk model
